If you’re receiving unwanted or spammy private messages from a member, here are the steps you can take:
If the messages are harmless but annoying, it's best to avoid engaging with the person. Engaging with the spammer can sometimes encourage them to continue.
However, if the messages are inappropriate or if the user repeatedly engages with you in an unwanted manner, take action by reporting them.
Before you can block the user, you need to report them to Snail Mail Friends support. You can click the red "Report this member" button to report the behavior. Reporting the user helps Snail Mail Friends investigate the issue and take appropriate action. Snail Mail Friends has no tolerance for spammers. Once reported, if we see that the behavior is indeed spammy or inappropriate, we will confirm the unwanted behavior and the user will be removed almost immediately.
After reporting the user, you can block the member who is sending unwanted messages. Blocking them will prevent them from being able to send you any further private messages or interact with your profile.
To avoid unsolicited messages in the future, you can change your account settings to only allow private messages from members on your friends list. This will block random members from messaging you.
By following these steps, you can effectively manage unwanted private messages and ensure a safe and enjoyable experience on Snail Mail Friends.
