First, email took over. Then texting. And now, even snails have turned against snail mail.
In Storrington (England) a postbox has become a free buffet for hungry snails, munching their way through people’s letters. Locals are confused, Royal Mail is stumped, and the snails? Living their best lives. The only solution Royal Mail can think of? Maybe just get rid of the postbox.
But villagers aren’t having it. Just because some slimy little guys fancy a nibble on the post doesn’t mean the whole box should go. Ideas to stop them include better seals, a special flap, or just telling the snails to please stop.
For now, the postbox stands. But the question remains... will it survive, or have the snails won?
